Experimental flower centres
A year or two ago my husband picked up some fleece left behind in the fields, I washed it. dried it, then it got put away as the next step "Carding" seemed impossible it was so matted!  However I met someone this year who helped me get going again.  She suggested I spend a few evenings teasing the wool out before Carding.  This was very useful advice and so I got to the next stage.  I used some dye felt pens that I was going to throw away, to make some dye to colour the fleece, (my motto being use what you have if you can!)  then needlefelted balls for the centre of flowers.  I have since seen a tutorial on wet felting the balls which looked as if it was a better idea.
I added beads and some embroidery just to see what they looked like!  In some I used silver thread to give a litle sparkle but I think silver was the wrong colour!

Your freebie today is a spooky picture, after all it is Halloween!  It is from a book on Gutenberg.
I have been trying to improve my clipping on Annie.  This is my second attempt!  Does anyone know how to get rid of red eye in dogs?  The tool in photoshop doesn't quite do the job!  Next time I will explain a bit more about felting!
